En collaboration avec Emanuelle Klaefiger

In autumn 2020, Emanuelle Klaefiger and Michèle Rochat, both tenants of the LImprimerie studio in Lausanne, decided to base their project on gathering herbaceous plants growing in their neighborhood in western Lausanne. With the help of identifications from the Cantonal Museum and Botanical Gardens, they compiled a herbarium combining the plants themselves with illustrations of their properties. Herbarium urbs presents a selection of the collected plants on an unusual medium: industrial tiles fired in the studio kiln.

À l’automne 2020, Emanuelle Klaefiger et Michèle Rochat, toutes deux locataires de l’atelier L-Imprimerie à Lausanne décident pour leur projet de partir à la cueillette de plantes herbacées poussant dans leur quartier de l’ouest lausannois. Grâce aux identifications des Musée et Jardins botaniques cantonaux, elles constituent un herbier renfermant à la fois les plantes et des illustration de leurs vertus. Herbarium urbs est une sélection parmi les plantes collectées, présentée sur un support insolite : des carreaux industriels cuits dans le four de l’atelier.
